In-House Rules and Regulation of The Beacon Cinema
 
The Beacon reserves the right to refuse service to any person for any reason at the discretion of the manager on duty. 
 
The following is forbidden:
  • Entrance with food or drinks (including water) purchased outside the cinema
  • Entrance with any kind of weapons or firearms
  • Smoking
  • Filming and photographing inside the building without the permission of The Beacon Management
  • Skateboarding, bicycling, hoverboard  or rollerblading
  • Entrance with animals (except documented service animals)
  • Disturbing other patrons or causing public disturbance
  • Damaging, or attempting to damage, property
  • Being under the influence of drugs, psychotropic substances, or other intoxicants
 
The customer’s obligations:
  • Keep your  ticket until the end of the screening to prove paid admission
  • Upon the receipt of 3D glasses, check their condition and immediately inform the staff of any defect found. If any damage is found after the customer has entered the auditorium, the glasses will be regarded as damaged by the customer.
  • In case of damage of 3D glasses please contact the film theatre staff immediately and exchange the glasses.
 
In the auditorium:
  • The customer must have a valid cinema ticket for the respective screening
  • Do not  disturb other customers and ruin the cinema experience for them
  • Do not use cellphones or other electronic devices
  • Do not put your feet on the seats. Think of others.
  • It is forbidden to take along backpacks/ large gym bags and other large objects that can restrict other people’s movements between rows, thus causing hazardous situations during possible emergency evacuation
  • Upon leaving the auditorium 3D glasses are to be left with the staff 
  • At the end of the screening the customer must leave the auditorium in a timely manner so that staff may clean-up for the next screening
 
The Beacon recommends:
  • Do not take infants to the screening since the loud noise may upset them
  • To avoid a bag search, Leave backpacks, bags, food and drink (including water) in your car. Alternatively, we’ll be happy to keep them safe in our storeroom.
  • Turn to the staff and inform them about persons who violate the in-house regulations
  • People suffering from epilepsy and/or migraines are recommended to consult their doctor before attending 3D shows;
  • The Beacon is not responsible for personal belongings. However, information about items left and found at the theatre is available at the box office. 
 
The Beacon maintains the right:
  • To ask for an ID of a customer if the MPAA has established a certain age limit or to determine whether the customer is eligible for a discount ticket
  • To refuse to sell tickets to a person whose age is under the limit established by the MPAA (or is unable to provide ID), even if the person is accompanied by an adult
  • To not sell tickets to persons who are visibly intoxicated and/or causing public disturbance
  • To not sell cinema tickets to persons who are not sufficiently dressed or who have serious hygiene problems
  • To check all bags and other items entering the cinema
  • To eject those who violate the in-house rules and regulations of the cinema and who have tried to cheat the cinema by not paying for the cinema ticket.  In case of a more serious offense, Pittsfield PD will be alerted.
  • To decline selling tickets to persons who have previously violated the in-house rules and regulations
